I am about to send the growers to freezer camp but due to lack of space I dont want to freeze any more hides.

So I thought of felt!

Any hints or tips would be great, like how to shave a rabbit hide and do the longer outer hairs make the felt scratchy or can they stay in?

If you have scalded a chicken, you can do the same to a rabbit hide, to get the fur to slip. It has been side that the water temp only has to be 155, for the fur to slip.

You can shave the hides after they're stiff with clippers

So just stake them out and then shave them eh? That is a good idea and with the blazing sun we are having now it wont take long for them to dry.

Pity I dont have any clippers

I wonder how long it would take with a razor?

You can get cheap ones at Walmart for less than $20. Just remember to use the oil that comes with them and use canned air to to clean out the blades frequently.
