We have been noticing wet fur on our Mini Lop doe's right cheek. This is one of our does that recently had her first litter. I got her out and looked at it more closely today. It is not under her mouth or on the other side. Only on the right side cheek. I saw no sores... maybe a slight "pinkness". I was thinking maybe she had a sore or irritation from the edge of the metal hanging feeder. (I put her food in a bowl in case that could have anything to do with it)
After reading more online I'm reading that it could be a problem with the cheek teeth. True? I'm not accustomed to messing with my rabbits mouths so I guess I want to know what to look for when I look at her mouth. Thanks.

I should add that we just noticed this for the first time on her in the last week.

Hmm... interesting. There's nothing wet at all right under here eye. It's more to the right side of her mouth. I will plan to get a picture posted today or tomorrow - Thanks Dood.

Captain Obvious response: is she sleeping against a water bottle spout?
No. I use Lock N Crock dishes for water not water bottles. The crock is not in an area she rests her head either. Good thing to check though! :)

-- Fri Dec 05, 2014 11:09 am --

Today there is no wetness on her face as I've been seeing (thankful). So just going to keep an eye on her for it again. If I see frequently again I will take picture.
