I'm trying to find out some information for another poster on another group and figured I would ask here. This person had a mother that had what presumed VD, common signs and scabs on her for it. Doe was pregnant while this was discovered. Person waited until after the kits were born and started Pen G treatment through 4 weeks. There has been death of kids, suspected GI issue but not really known. The kids are now having crusty eyes, more so on their lashes like (sorry no pictures). They do not have a nest box, was removed about 2.5 weeks ago. They were given straw to help keep warm in though, but lack of or having does not seem to make it any worse/better. There is a size difference with the kits, they seem to be smaller to the person than normal kits. The doe has raised good litters before with out issue. Could this be an issue with reoccurring VD? Or could this be some thing else entirely? Poops and behavior seem normal. <br /><br /> -- Wed Nov 12, 2014 7:03 pm -- <br /><br /> Was also wonder as person was told treating the doe while the kits were nursing would treat them as well, is this true? I've never ran into this sort of problem before.
