Well a few days ago I noticed that Leon, my young english lop, was limping when I put him out in his pen to play. I immediately took him back to his cage, but then put him in one of my junior cages to limit his movement. He holds it awkwardly and he's awkward enough as it is with his growing body. I was feeling his legs and I noticed his knee(?) was swollen. He also has the foot relaxed and it doesn't respond to poking or pinching like his thigh/leg muscles.I don't know what he did to himself but he's been in that small cage for about 4 days now. I bring him out for a little bit each day onto the deck so he can stretch out. I'm sure being in that cage is no fun! :( Could he of displaced his knee by doing something stupid in his cage? We enjoy him very much and would like to help the poor guy out.

he could have damaged the tendon, you said it was swollen, does it feel out of place? how long are his nail? I bring up the nails for 2 reasons one being that he may have got a nail stuck in the wire and "twisted" his leg when trying to move, and 2 if they are too long it affects how they sit on the pads on their feet (usually leading to sore hock) but could have easily caused another issue, hope this helps a little.

OMG I just saw when you posted this, sorry i did not see it sooner, hope he is better now.
