day 30 and no buns

It is day 30 and still no buns from the NZW doe. she has made 2 nests with only straw and destroyed them both. I tried giving her a tums she smashed it till it fell through her cage floor. After she ripped the nests apart she peed all over the hay.....

It may not be time yet, gestation can be 30 to 33 days with an average of 31 days. Has she ever had a litter before? Hopefully she will deliver tomorrow. opcorn:

Day 36 is the magic number and a couple of members on here have had litters show up on or past day 37

No previous litters. I think she likes playing with my mind. 36 days?!! Oh my, really.

Often they show no sign until day 31 or 32 that they are going to do anything. Some don't even pull fur and make a nest until after they have them in the middle of the night. Usually day 35 is when most people cut off waiting and try rebreeding but litters later than that have happened.

This one is from a mom who delivered on day 30 consistently. I *thought* I could go by that. Nope. Today she is just lounging in her cage. She went back to eating tho. No sign of change. guess I should plan for 7 more days.

Mini Rex doe went 36 and had 6 kits. Rex doe went 34 and had 6 live and 6 dead.

no no popples.... she did bite me while I tried to feed her today tho. If there continues to be no popples in 4-5 more days this wkend we might have a bunny stew.
