I'm currently working with another breeder to bring home a breeding trio of American Chinchillas next week. I am so excited! This is my birthday present from DH, and they are beautiful American Chinchillas to boot!

Just wanted to share my excitement!

Yay! Congratulations! Make sure your camera battery is charged up- we will want to see pictures. I got my bunnies around the time of my birthday last April. They are truly a "gift that keeps on giving"!

Awesome! Who are you getting yours from? There's so many great AmChin breeders in Indiana, I want to make one big trip down there and bring a bunch up to Michigan.

I'm getting them from WAB rabbitry. Where are you in MI? I sometimes head up towards MI towards Angola to pick up goats. I have pics of them now, let me see if I can post them.

__________ Tue Mar 27, 2012 5:20 pm __________

Jealous! My buck is from down in Kentucky, but I've heard of WAB. Actually, I might be Facebook friends with them.

I'm in the southeast portion, almost exactly halfway between Lansing and Brighton.

I don't know anything about Am. Chins, but they look really nice to me! We will still be expecting more pics when they get home!

I'll be happy to oblige. I feel like a little kid at Christmas!

I know! Wait until you "open your first nestbox"! :p :lilbunny: :lilbunny: :lilbunny:

I'm closer to Indianapolis, so if (and when) we bring more rabbits in, I will probably contact the Youngs. I'm lucky that it's not much of a drive for me at all.

__________ Thu Apr 05, 2012 8:46 pm __________

Picked them up. The breeder said to put the buck in with one of the does when we get home, and said car rides do something to the buck. He wasn't kidding.

I guess we know what he was thinking about on the drive home! The doe looks like she is thinking "What? No romantic dinner first?"

My younger daughter loves the rabbits (I see showing in her future). Both girls have named them as well. We have Isla, Charlotte, and Ken. DH has really take an interest in them as well. He's even mentioned building me a bigger rabbit shed :)
