Last time my first time doe was pregnant, she reabsorbed the babies for I have no idea what reason.

Well now she is pregnant again and today was day 14. I read a thread on The Nature Trail website last night about palpating ad I hadn't been palpating right so I tried again today and felt a few grape-sized balls. So I hopefully have babies coming!

Does anyone have any idea what may have caused the babies to be reabsorbed? She was and still is on a diet of 1 cup of pellets, unlimited hay, and water of course. When she was pregnant I gave her some BOSS, oats, and a couple tums.

Now that my neighbor has adorable 5 day old babies I really really want babies. So I'm on popple watch! opcorn: :lilbunny:

I would just wonder how you were certain she was pregnant to begin with? I have had a first time bred doe go through a false pregnancy. She gained some weight, got moody, and pulled fur. But she was never pregnant. Unless there was some major stress or fright, I would not assume she had reabsorbed the litter, as I believe that is actually quite rare.
