Curious about creep feed, what goes in it?

creep feed isnt a special feed, its a special way of feeding.
have a feeder that the adult animal cannot get into and eat from but that the young animals can.
some examples:
lamb creep feeder http://www.ohdangfarm.com/farm_projects ... Feeder.jpg
lambs can get in and out but the ewes and rams cant get in. this way the young animals have access to more feed. the adults can eat it all and push them out of the way.
calf creep feeder http://www.behlencountry.com/images/339 ... 8_full.jpg

Creep feeding is commonly practiced with large livestock as a way to provide supplements and concentrates to growing young, while excluding access to the mother.
I just bought creep feeders for my doe cages as a way to provide the kits access to feed without their mothers scratching at them. With the exception of kits just out of the nest which get rolled oats as part of their mix, the feed is identical to what their mothers get. I no longer feed pellets, but give a mix of oats, barley, beet pulp, and BOSS.
