Trimming back the crabapple tree.

Okay for the buns?

I'm assuming so, will test on a rabbit before feeding until I hear back.

__________ Wed May 19, 2010 10:20 am __________

i should add...i wasn't lazy...I did do a search for toxicity with crab apple branches but didn't find a whole lot. Anything I found didn't suggest that they were toxic.

it all worked out fine. Turned ALL the pee a bright orange colour, but other than that, everyone was fine. They didn't chew down the branches like they do with regular apple branches though....

I give my rabbits crabapple, apple, and hawthorn branches all thime. I give them with the leaves in season and just the branches themselves in winter. They seem to appreciate the fresh food.
