I read a good question a little bit ago somewhere and so I am going to ask it here......

I see allot of Jersey Woolys that are posed standing up like a Netherland Dwarf, Yet the SOP shows a pic of a rabbit posed more like a polish rabbit. So which is correct?

Yes some are. And they have been crossing Netherlands into their lines. I got my rabbits from a top breeder who does not pose or breed to resemble Netherlands.
Just curious why the change and is it going to be the new SOP or are they going to put a stop to it?

I'm kinda torn. Do I add new stock to go more towards the netherland or do I continue on with lines that are bred according to the SOP?

I like the "Old" Woolys but I want to be able to compete as well. *Sigh*

__________ Thu Sep 27, 2012 6:39 pm __________

Ok so I have been looking into it farther and realize it doesn't specify how to pose in the SOP.

So It is all in the interpretation I suppose. Interesting. So Now I wonder how much is a difference in confirmation and how much a difference in posing from one breeder to the next. It is all so confusing. I know what I want to get in my next buck but where to get it is another thing completely.

I know I want my next buck to be 2 pounds, 2 inch ears, with a huge wool cap and wide head. I also want him to be a pointed white. :)

I figure with all the kids birthdays and Christmas coming I can forget anything until Spring. But I will be looking just incase.
