I see comfrey on the "safe" list and have questions about its feeding.
In recent years there has been quite a lot of press about it being toxic for human livers.
I notice that you have marked it as "best fed dry" does this have anything to do with
lessening toxicity, or is it for another reason?
Thanks,

Comfrey is used world-wide as feed for animals. I would suggest feeding it as part of a mix. The reason I suggested it be fed dried is that it is fuzzy and many rabbits do not like it fresh. In winter, when greens are scarce, they are a lot less picky and since it is high in protein it is a valuable plant. I would never give the rabbits a huge quantity at one time because of the concerns you have noted, but I have also never heard of it causing a problem with rabbits.

I started a thread about it some time ago, but it didn't go very far. All the same, I suggest you take a look.
