Has anyone ever used Coconut Oil for nestbox eye? I have two kits that had one crusty and closed eye each. The rest of the litter seems to be ok for the moment. I've called around and the feed stores are saying that the terramycin goop is on backorder and all they have is Vetericyn. I don't know anything about it so I was researching other options and coconut oil usage came up. The website I found said to use a single drop of warmed oil.

uh.... a warm cloth and/or warm tea bag will do the trick without adding any goop to them.

I find any nestbox eye I get here clears up just fine as long as I open the eye up morning and night (and during the day if able). I don't medicate them AT ALL. Teabag is about as far as I'll go. IF it doesn't clear up, I assume the worst and cull the kit. (and since I actively breed against it haven't had that happen in quite a long time).
