After getting my Lop Bertha I gave her a quick look over. At first I did not notice much. Probably, because I was checking her while in the back of a moving vehicle, lol. I did see a white spot on her eye. It is large enough to easily see. It is white/cloudy. I will try to get a picture of it for you guys. I also noticed that for "almost being a year old" (what the pervious owner told me.) That her vent looks pretty rough, and warn out. Almost like it has birthed MANY litters. (I was told she had maybe 3 litters.) I also see the her vent is more moist than my other rabbits which I will also try to get a picture of. My husband is at work so I will do my best to get some one handed pics, lol.
I also rebred her after her breeding before I got her didn't take, and I am still not sure if she took with my buck. I'd guess she's about 25 days along IF she took.
I am starting to wonder if Bertha is much older than I was told, or if she has a vent disease, or what could be going on with her? She also has the tips of her ears chewed off, and the woman told me that it happened when she was a kit with her litter mates. Now if that's true, it should have been healed nearly a year later right? Well when we got her there was still quite a bit of scabbing on her ear which to me says it happened within a few months, not right after she was born.
