leah with her week old litter of nine. Daisy has 8 in the grow out cages that are 7 weeks old and she is due today. She has already built her nest. Just been laying around in the heat today. Low to mid 80's.

If this goes like last time it's getting close. From total chilling out to re doing the nest. Pulling fur will be next.

Came home from work to 11 newbies. They came somewhere between 5:00 am and noon. All look good so far. Good job Daisy girl.

I love seeing a nest full of cal babies. I have a grow out cage full, a nest of 9 that are 3.5 weeks old, and a litter of 13 that are a week old.
The litter of 13 is mostly with the mother, but 7 kits are with foster mothers. It actually started out as a litter of 15, but we lost two in the first 2 days.
