I have a breeding question....
I have english lops that I'm having trouble breeding, both were born in March 2012 & they are 10.5lbs. Do you have any tips to help?
I put 2 together & she lifted like she was suppose to & he got her twice. I kept them together for about 30 more min. but he never got her the 3rd time. Would you recommend to put them back together again?
I then tried to breed her sister but she would never lift & she just wants to fight him. I have another buck that is her half brother. Would you bred them since they are half related? I wasn't sure if half siblings was acceptable. What would you do?
Last question for now is...Do you have an tips on table top breeding?

I would say twice is fine if that's what she allowed. I have a doe that just kindled 12. I usually do AM & PM, but she barely tolerated AM, so I just left it at that. I don't remember how many times he covered her in that AM session.

I've been told that you just don't want to purposely breed litter-mates, but even that happens sometimes. One of my does wouldn't lift for one buck her first time, but would for my other buck. Not sure what the difference was.

Rabbits are a LOT more genetically variable than one would think, so that's not too close. It takes many generations for issues to crop up. You just have to be clear on what traits you want in your herd and cull for it.
There's a sticky on readiness in rabbits, it deals with the vent colours and what they mean.
Sometimes they just like one buck better than another, go with it.
