This question could get a lot of different responses from 5-8 months. I think size and condition of your rabbits are the most important. If they are in good condition and about 90% of adult weight I would breed them.
i talk to a local guy around me an he said he started at 4 months. i have some coming up on that an just dident know if i should start breeding. I think i am gonna wait a little an see what happens
I would, Richie. Even if they're able, it's not necessarily good for their health and development,nor for the kits. After all even humans can have babies at 12 or 13...but it's not really good for mom or baby. IMO, it's better to wait a month than to risk health Ours were all born in October we plan to wait till about mid-April to breed them. At this point, I'd rather all the nutrients go into making strong, healthy stock. But that's me
