For larger breeds such as New Zealand and Checkered Giant, what is the recommended time period between the birth of a litter and the next time they should breed again? What's the minimum period of time? How soon does the doe return to ovulating again after giving birth? Thanks

They will re-breed the same day!
It is best to wait four to six weeks,
this way the kits are weaned a week or two before the next batch appears.
It is entirely up to the owner what direction to take.
We all must do what we feel is best for those in our charge!

I have mini Rex's, and I usually wait until the kits are 6 weeks to breed again, but since I currently only have 1 breedable doe, so I bred her again when the kits were 2 weeks old. Hopefully Ill keep a doe from either this or the next litter. I'm considering keeping the last doe in this litter but I'm not quite sure yet
