I have found that buying the 'kits' that one can use to turn soda bottles into water bottles to be just as expensive as buying the whole set-up. Last year, i did buy some 'founts to convert soda bottles with, but the bottle must be mounted inside the cage, as the fount part rests on the cage floor. Found them in the Stromberg's poultry catalog

How can that be?
All you need to buy is the cap and sipper tube.
Do not purchase the kit! You can fashion your own
bottle holders for pennies in the dollar.
By using a two liter soda bottle [cost 5Cents]
and a few pieces of wire practically free you can
save quite a bit by avoiding all the frills!
To get a rabbit to stop chewing the bottle,
RIP it's teeth out! :tease:
You might want to create a slight drip
by wedging a tooth-pick in the spout and
in a few days things might straighten out.

I keep a second set of water bottles and just switch out the ones that are frozen. Then they sit on the counter to thaw out and are usually ready to go by the time the others are frozen. Plus, as they sit on the counter they are easy to top up from the tap as they get low.
