bleeding after mating

I bred a doe for the first time today and she bled a little afterwards. Is that normal? She's a NZW almost 5 months old. She lifted three times, so she was receptive.

Are you sure it was blood? Could it have been dark urine?

I've never seen it either... but then I've never looked for it. As long as it was just a bit and has stopped, I'd just chalk it up to her being a virgin.

That's what I thought too. I didn't notice it with my FW the first time I bred her. She seems fine now. Eating like she normally does. It was definitely red like blood and only around her back end.
