Black rabbit with a white undercoat?

in contrast to black rabbits that have a deep bluish or dark grey looking undercoat.

Sorry, didn't take pics, it actually looks pretty cool on the kits, but there is a tendency for it to look darker as it ages.

A friend and I have started seeing em in our mutt litters, wondering if anyone else has seen kits like that and knows why we're getting them?
(you know, genetic possibilities)
 
Somewhere I have a post and picture of a black kit with a white undercoat. It's called a snowball.

The coat usually grows out, but it's annoying and there are other genes that factor in with it. I would cull it in show lines. Meat buns, I don't know.
