I posted earlier about sharing hair in colony nests and winding up with a baby with a broken back due to a doe scuffle.

Anyway, this little bunny (4 weeks old) is pulling itself around on it front legs and seems to be doing ok. Does anyone have experience raising crippled rabbits? How do they fair in the long term?

I don't have any experience, exactly, but if I had a baby that was severely disabled, I would probably cull it. I would not rehome a crippled animal(of any sort) because I would not be able to assure it would receive the extra care needed. Not that you're saying you intend to rehome at all, just putting in my 2 cents.

Best of luck with the baby no matter what you choose!

With any animal with paralysis, you will have to be sure they can properly void bladder and bowels. They are proned to bladder infections b/c they can't empty all the way so you may need to express the bladder.
The other issue would be keeping it clean. If the bunny isn't in control of its bladder and bowels it will make it more vulnerable to fly strike. So bunny must be kept clean and dry.
It will be quite a commitment if you decide to keep it for awhile.
Bless your heart for concidering it.
Honestly I wouldn't. I tried on one of my french lops and she injured her back, she could still move her legs but she had a leaky bladder and was wet all the time. Keeping her clean was difficult. She could hop round but it was awkward. Even with vet care she didn't improve and was euthanized. I cried like a baby. Her name was Charlotte.
Best wishes for you and the bunny.

Some people just love looking after animals with disabilities, I guess it makes them feel good, so if you advertised that baby to enough people someone would really love to have it. I found this unbelievably cute video of a disabled lionhead with a hand made mobility scooter. Nothings cuter than a bunny on wheels. http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=pl ... JkV4QfLH0c

Many, many yrs ago I raised a bunnt with no front legs because rats ate them.
In your case I would put him out fast.
