One of my litters - about 4 weeks old - started with bald patches on a few heads but now has spread to one of them having most of the fur gone on its sides as well and more being bald.

I suspect they are either sucking on each other or the mum is doing extra grooming but I am not sure, it's a new one to me.

Any ideas on what's going on and how to stop it?

It's genetic balding. You see it a lot in rex furred rabbits, especially velveteen lops. It will usually grow back within a couple weeks. Look up "astrex" if you are curious about it, this balding pattern you see a lot in astrex carrier lines (but it does not necessarily mean they will grow up to have astrex fur). http://countrycoverabbitry.weebly.com/t ... -gene.html
