My Cali doe had some kits today! No idea if she was done when I noticed one of the Cali were missing and disturbed her or not. Tossed over her fur into the other nest she made. 5 kits at that point. Maybe more tomorrow morning, who knows. She would be a first time mom, really hope she feeds them!!!!

Went out to check on them and to add a layer of lint between the ground and the nest.
Five fat and big kits! Just 5 of them, but they are big and the first colony babies, so I'm happy.
Mom had also pulled some more fur. =D
I've got work soon, so pics will come after I get back home!

We had a ton of rain and thunder last night, I was worried the nest would flood. But they are all fine and mom is feeding them! =D
I just got to figure out which sister had them, lol. Yesterday I had the right doe caught, but I didn't realize both sisters have an ear #. I'm so all over the place lately. =D

I'm going to add Mroz's kits as well. She had 15 total; 1 runt, 1 stillborn and one cold/revived but then died. 11 warm and active in a very furry nest. =D
I wasn't expecting her to be bred, looks like Snieg eventually did get the job done.

Congrats on all the colony babies. I wasn't able to get a single live baby in my colonies. But I have all first time moms in there. We are switching to all cages. Accept maybe some grow out colonies.
