We have a 4 yr old Holland Lop that we recently purchased. We bred her about 32 days ago and yesterday she gave birth to 2 babies around 12:30pm, and then 1 more baby at about 4pm. All seem healthy and are happy in the nest box.
When we watched her last night and again today it appears that she still has one or more inside of her because we can see her right side roll on and off as it did before she gave birth to the first baby.
Her previous owner said that last fall she had 3 babies, and has not been bred since then. The previous owner is not the original owner so we don't have any other history.
Is there anything we can do to help her along, does she still have kits inside, shouldn't she be done by now, or is it just her body having contractions? Bottom line, do we need to worry about it? We were up last night every hour to check on her and make sure that she didn't have any more babies "on the wire".
Thank you.
