Lynx otter is not a colour and is impossible because the agouti gene in lynx completely hides the tan (otter) gene.

However, lilac otter is a colour, is this what you meant?

I do think they are chocolate otters but determining rex colours is not my stong point, hopefully a rex breeder will chime in.

I don' t think they are martenized which would mean they are chinchilla otters.

The last one is the only one that looks like it could possibly be otter. The rest do not at all look otter.

In the last 3 pics you can clearly see the lighter tan markings rimming the ears, along the lips and somewhat around the eyes.

Agouti could create these markings as well and if they weren't rex there would be distict rings in the fur to rule this pattern out, but they are rex and I'm not familiar enough with them to say for certain.

If they were self they would lack these markings.

Well when i get them next month we will know for sure. I have a broken black otter and the broken ones look like her but since there marking blend in a little more and im not used to looking at a chocolate otter i was not sure. Ive got a pretty big hunch they are. I just did not want to tell him wrong.

Rex agouti have distinct rings like all other agoutis, because the fur is so short, the rings are even more distinct.

The eye circles of all my otters are much more distinct, but if there is tan in the ears, around the nose, behind the ears and along the line of the belly and sides, it's an otter.
