one sliced thumb.

two hours in emerg.

The comment of "well you did a good job on this one didn't you?"

one stitch.

a caution to be more careful next time. :)

So what do you think?
was it worth the bunny "YEAH! We have GRASS!!!" ???

Sounds like the answer should be priceless....1 stitch is not bad!!

Made tacos last night- sliced some tomatoes and my little finger. Of course, I don't eat the tomatoes, they're for hubby. Worth it?

I feel your pain.

(lady who's had about 10 or so different sets of stitches over the years)

Wow, only 2hrs in emerg?! That's crazy quick!

Sorry about your fingers, the bunnies probably appreciated it!

:p Thats what I was going to say!

My sister needed 6 stitches and waited 5 hours. She wasn't a priority since it wasnt life threatening. she has a nasty scar since it was practically healed when they finaly looked at it and they had to clean it and open it up again.

Meanwhile the doofus who tried to commit suicide by going mountain biking during a heat warning and was vomiting from dehydration went right in.

the most stitches i've had is 5, It went to the bone, and I was in emergency for about 30 or so minuets, but that was when I was 7 a LONG time ago!

oh, and sorry about your bad days,

__________ Fri May 31, 2013 6:31 pm __________

my worst is from landing on a nail, it is purple & white & red

At my age the skin on the backs of my hands is so thin that I'm always healing rabbit scratches. One drew blood the other day just running across my hand in his eagerness to get his place at the food dish. Of course I am on Warfarin since my heart operation and that means the blood flows freely from any little scratch.

Hoodat, a pair of thin, close-fitting fingerless gloves really save one's hands - particularly the backs of the hands, the sensitive area between the fingers and the wrists. Or try the thrift shops for a cheap pair of regular gloves in soft leather and cut the fingers off partway so you can still grip things easily. You really don't want to be dealing with all those scratches.

Duct tape.
Electrical tape works real nice, too.

I keep some of the cut binder spray at home, for those times when the gash is too wide to close, but not bleeding anymore.

I'm sure the rabbits appreciated your sacrifice. =)

Mystang's right, though, clean it well, and superglue. Many ERs use the stuff themselves.

Be prepared... I understand it hurts like crazy for a few minutes, and if you're not careful, you'll glue other things together you didn't mean to.
