Well, Victoria is still just sitting in the nest box. No signs of nesting or labor. I still feel babies in her...not sure if I felt movement or not. I squeezed one of her teats out of curiosity and there is milk. I KNOW she's pregnant. I'm concerned though...her first litter with me she had 4 on day 31, second time around she had 8 on day 28 or 29, and lost them all. This will be her 3rd litter for me. I'm also worried because she seems to have dropped weight and lost condition. She feels thin and bony. She's eating and drinking, but I'm just afraid something isn't right...

I've been doing that, and she's been eating them. I just bred her to my buck and she let him so hopefully that will help get things started.

I hope she will be okay. The loss of condition is worrisome. :(

Nipple stimulation will often start labor. You don't need to express the milk, just gently manipulate her nipples.

My midwife told me that balsamic vinegar and pineapple are both purported to bring on labor. You could add a bit of the vinegar to her water if she wont take it willingly... or even better, to address both the loss of condition and the delivery, try coating some dry kitchen oatmeal with a little molasses and add the vinegar to that.

Thanks MSD, I gave her some oats and she ate them all. I rebred her this evening and she took again. She began jumping in and out of the nest box and grooming herself. I was glad to see her perk up a bit. I think Skysthelimit has said sometimes her Hollands go 34 days. I'm really hoping she and the babies will be alright.
