Sheesh! I drive through hell last night to take my kids to meet their dad. Bad driving winds, tree debris flying across the roads, downed limbs in the road -- almost ran over two sets, bad hail, rain so hard that I could only see about 5 feet past the end of my vehicle and, the scariest part, an exploding transformer as I drove past.

Finally got to the meeting point a little ahead of the storm, then it hit there while we were waiting. All the gas pumps stopped working.

Drove home in relatively little rain but had to help secure the rabbits and chickens for another coming storm that hit around 11pm last night. The first storm blew the tops off the rabbit pens and the chicken pasture pen. So we were running around chasing chickens trying to get them back into the pasture pen.

BUT... the temps have dropped significantly. I'm so glad because the rabbits were having a hard time with the heat.

Good to hear that you made through the melee alright, Ollitos. With all the drama you described, it could have been much worse, and I know you're thankful that it wasn't so.

Glad your ok!
Wow did the temp ever drop! Here it went from 101F down to 75F in like 20min, it was wonderful!

It was a bad storm here in TX too. I got some rain leaking through our sun room roof but that's normal as it's an add on to the house and whoever designed it used a flat rood. Idiots. Anyway we have an all tile house so no water damage ever gets done to the floors thankfully. I love the temps now and the rabbits seem to as well. Which doesn't matter for much longer. Once we get all the wasps cleared out of the are I'm going to use for butchering we will be back down to just the three does and a buck very soon.

CnB, I considered txting you to tell you to secure everything because man was that storm brutal!! Then there was a huge accident at the intersection in front of Sheetz. Then I saw the pics of Spotsy County this morning and hoped you were ok! Yah, the temp drop was amazing! I got back to the farm and had to chase down all those chickens in the humidity. It was horrible humidity! Today has been gorgeous!
