Last quarter, I struggled badly with Anatomy and Physiology...especially Lab class. I finally had to drop the class, since a dropped class looks better than a FAILED class.

I re-took it this quarter.

Today I had the final exam. My grades were immediately posted (we use a CPS device for tests so grading is instantaneous) and I'm all sorts of proud of me.

I GOT AN A IN THE CLASS. I got a 96% on the final exam alone. I AM SO AWESOME!!!

This quarter, all A's. I'll be on the Dean's List again. So proud!!!! :)

I have struggled so hard with this class, finally my hard work pays off!!!!!!!!

Thanks!!! :) Now to get through Anatomy and Physiology II...taking that this coming quarter. :)

Ivory, I'm in college to become a physical therapy assistant, possibly a fully fledged physical therapist. :) I blew out my shoulder, had to spend six months in physical therapy, lost my job because of it...and decided that I wanted to help other people the way my PT helped me. :) I've regained a lot more strength and range of motion in the bad shoulder than my doctors ever said I would...I credit my PT for that. :D

This coming quarter I'll be taking A&P II, A&P II Lab, a math course and an english course. :) Given how many credits A&P II and Lab are, I'll still be a full-time student. :)

But...I get two weeks off, starting tomorrow!!! :) Gonna take a while and go visit my son...gonna do some electrical work for my dad...gonna do some rabbitry overhaul stuff (new lean-to in the works, plus some work on new nest boxes, and a blank pedigree for my future use!) and gonna do some artwork!!! :)

Plus maybe some homework. ;) My A&P Lecture instructor is also the A&P II Lecture instructor, she said she would put the first A&P II assignment online for us so we can get a head start if we wish. :)

You survived! :p

:congratulations:

Boy, though... three rounds with Dolores Umbridge... :x

Excellent work, getting the A, and what a stellar test score! :clap2:

That's the best part, SHE'S NICE TO ME NOW!!!! :)

You know how painfully shy I am, right? Well I decided to be nice to her no matter what, so even though I still can't look her in the eye, I talk to her. She walks in the room, I say Hi. She talks about a TV show, I talk back. The other day I told her the new haircut is nice...she was super excited that SOMEBODY NOTICED SHE GOT HER HAIR DONE. She called me "dear." :)

Plus I told her she misspelled Zygomaticus. Turns out she LOVES it when students point out an error, she said it shows I pay attention AND that I know my facial muscles!!!! :D

SHE'S NICE NOW!!!! How cool is that??? :D I'm actually looking FORWARD to having her again for Lab!!!! :)

Congrats on working so hard and achieving a well deserved A!!!!

My dd is premed for physical therapy, she is also in the vet program. No idea how she is doing it all but so far she has kept her scholarship so school is paid for as long as she maintains an A.

She would practice on all of us. I could be vacuuming and she'd walk in and point and say that is your x muscle which is attached to y and behind that is z and so on and so on. WHen you move this, this other thing is working in tandem but you don't know it, etc.

ALl of us were practiced on, she said it made it much easier to remember. Her 11 yr old brother now knows quite a bit of anatomy.

Just think, if you continue on to be a physical therapist you will be Dr. Kyle.

LOL, I'm already "annoying" to my dad. ;) Too many medical terms. :)

Oh man, the emotional elation at getting an A is wearing off...I think I'm gonna sleep like the dead tonight. AND I'M NOT STUDYING FOR A SINGLE MINUTE BEFORE BED oh man such relief. :)

Well, that trumps the grade for me, Kyle. ;)

I am very proud of you.

Now... if you could overcome your shyness in the face of Mrs. Umbridge, you know you can beat it with the "nice people"! :p

Wow. Well done. I wish you the best of luck.

Assuming everything goes according to plan, how long till you qualify?

__________ Thu Jun 13, 2013 5:52 pm __________

I went to college when my kids were 11 and 13. Best thing I ever did, and I think I appreciated it fart more than my classmates who were mostly 18-21.
