Is the american sable and other colors considered the same breed as the american blue and american white? When sanctioning for a show are they just sanctioned as american rabbits or do you have to sanction say american blue as one and american white as one like you do the argents? I am wondering since I am looking at american sables and a pointed white. I know there will be no sables to show against but can I show at all or will I have to specially sanction every time I want to show and can I breed with the self colors and have the same breed?

Different breeds....American Rabbits come in Blue and White....American Sables are totally different....like American Chinchillas.

I found an article on the blue and whites that said other colors used to exist like vienna blue which are now nonexistent in the US which is why I wondered if they were connected. All I can find on the sables is they are some mystery breed(s) crossed with american chinchillas in the 1920s. The american sable society website lists the officers and that's about it.
