Amako's sudden recovery

We were all ready to have her cremated. We even got some little wood boxes from the craft store to stain and put a picture on for her ashes. We kept putting it off though. Holding out water for her every night and piling food next to her so she could find it.

Suddenly yesterday she walked in a straight line and put her paws on the side of the cage to beg for food. Today she is sitting upright for the first time in months. I don't know what to make of it but she may actually live.

Wow! That's wonderful.

It is such a hard call sometimes- you don't want to prolong suffering- but animals do have an amazing capacity to heal.

I'm so glad that was the case with Amako! YAY!

Amako just stood up and nearly straightened her head to beg for clover hay. She's drinking by herself now.
