Management of rabbits for meat, fur, or wool production is quite different from the maintenance of a pet or house rabbit.

That's the first line. EXCELLENT way to begin the article.

I think this article is good. I would have liked more details on other slaughter methods but whatever. :) Overall good. :)

It is a good article. :) I emailed the lady responsible for the most recent revision concerning rabbit baby formula, as the article contains the recipe that I found to have mixed reviews from those who tried it. I let her know that I certainly did not expect her to change the Merck manual based on an email from some internet Jane Doe, but that maybe someone could do some real research into it.

__________ Tue Jun 25, 2013 12:06 pm __________

People can get that from John Steinbeck. Just ask MSD. :p

I have a printed Merck Manual for Veterinary (also my grandmother's old one for people from 1929), but it's nice to have just the rabbit section on the computer. Thanks for posting it, OAF! And yes, Miss M - that rabbit "formula" is almost identical to what my dad had me mix up to raise an orphaned squirrel, over 40 years ago!
