My neighbor came over with her twin 3 year old boys to visit the bunnies.
I know, many of you would cringe. Not e-lops. Flung open every cage door and every head stuck out wanting a scritch.

The boys were good, and understood not to grab and pull, but you know 3 year old boys will be just that. There was quite a bit of excited screeching, some stomping, and lots of movement cage to cage. The bunnies loved it! Not a single one hid in the back corner and acted unsociable.

We all enjoyed it, and after a short time the boys went back home.

What was funnier was that I had more visitors to the rabbitry tonight. They weren't actually there to see the bunnies, but the bunnies would not be ignored! This time all the stomping and cage rattling was coming from them, begging for attention.

As soon as a cage door was opened, a head popped over and demanded petting. They are getting spoiled. They are beginning to think every visitor to the barn (which is actually borrowed space from hubby's workshop) is there to pet them!

Such sweethearts! With bunnies like these, I doubt I will ever make this a closed rabbitry. The bunnies enjoy newcomers so much!

I think that's so neat how your E-lops enjoy company. What a lovely experience for those youngsters. I know when we have company, our Flemish demands that all notice him and give him some affection. My little ones are curious of newcomers but not so "pet me" like my Flemish.
