we have a litter of new babies that are 2 1/2 weeks old one of then have diarrhea was wondering what to do to treat it thanks<br /><br />__________ Sat Sep 01, 2012 2:19 pm __________<br /><br />
 
At that age they are usually experimenting with solid foods. If you feed pellets, it is possible that is what upset the kit's system. I would give it access to grass hay and kitchen oatmeal (Like Quaker Old-Fashioned) and also give it the leaves of shepherd's purse, plantain, raspberry, blackberry or strawberry.

Sometimes diarrhea in kits is caused by coccidiosis, a protozoal parasite. I suggest you read this article, paying particular attention to the link to the link for emergency information.

Plantain broadleaf and oatmeal along with hay work miracles. Give it a try and see if it helps. I know it saves mine. Good luck with your bunnies.
