1/2 inch EMT for flooring--
I once tried using 1/2 inch EMT [metal conduit] for flooring, I remember it worked pretty well, but cant remember the down side of this experiment-- has anyone else ever tried this-- [if so-- I would like to hear from you] and-- anyone else who feels like commenting on this -as several peoples ideas are usually better then one.
I used 2"x2" oak -drilled 3/4 holes [I think it was 3/4] with 5/8 inch spacing between holes in the center of the 2x2, then cut [ripped on table saw] a 1 1/2 " x 1 1/2", 45 deg angle off the inside top, then -put 2 foot long pieces of conduit in the holes, then stapled the 2x2 to the cage side wire on each side,
---the rabbits did not chew the oak much , I remember it was very easy to clean... and did not rust through as quick as normal floors- comments?
I am thinking of trying this again as cleaning 1/2 x1 flooring is a pain when feeding weeds and greens

-- Wed Oct 29, 2014 6:14 am --

I Have been thinking about using some of the plastic "composite lumber " type material instead of wood to hold the 1/2 " conduit, has anyone used this in rabbit areas, I wonder if it would be easy to clean, and if rabbits like to chew it-- ??
