I was under the impression you could line breed, but breeding full brother to sister was a bad idea....I got the pedigree for a new doe and her parents are full siblings. How big an issue will this be later down the road? Breed is Rex.

I realize I have crap for rex rabbits...but I noticed my castor doe seems to throw a LOT of castors....even though she was bred to a tri broken. How would that work? Previous litter had several castor as well.

I know these Rex kits are only 3 days old, and not great pics....but when I shined the flashlight in there, the dark solids looked almost iridesant green?? Also noted that the insides of the ears were pale, on the black lion heads, the inner ear was dark. Mom is castor and dad is tri broken...

I've got 6 lion head kits that will be 7 weeks old friday. 2 gray females, and 4 black unknowns. One gray is double maned, and one black is double maned. Not pedigreed. Will post pics tomorrow. I have a few pics now but nothing good lol. Near Lake of the Ozarks, Missouri. Parents can go as well.

Is it my imagination or is that gray kit next the the black one fluffier than the other gray kit?? Especially around the eyes? Could that be my double maned gray? One of the black ones is double maned as well. 6 kits, 6 weeks old friday. 4 blacks and 2 grays.

Other than pencil and paper, is there a decent free or cheap app to track stuff? I have less than 10 rabbits right now, so dont see a point in spending money YET. Thank you in advance

I was gonna check my older buck and compare....but he shredded my hand when I went to check him lol. This is one of the kits from my castor doe and broken buck. I am not sure how old it is either.

Complete noob here, lol. Would someone please explain "pedigree" to me? And how you get a pedigree from a rabbit? And is that the same thing as papers/registration? Like a purebred cat or dog? I am so confused right now....

I have 3/4 of a 50lb bag of shredded beets that was left after my old gelding passed last fall. I haven't used it for the ponies because they are already chunky monkeys lol. Is that safe to give rabbits? If so, would I need to soak it like I did for my horse?
