Is God trying to tell me something?

Well, I posted a few days ago about honeybees, and now it looks as though I will be getting some sooner rather than later. I've been participating on several FB groups related to beekeeping and the new Flow Hives, and a guy there is setting me up with a complete colony. I'm to pick it up next...

    Honey Bees?

Anyone here keep honey bees? I'm looking into bees and equipment as we speak, hoping to get a hive going by early fall (the place I want to buy my bees from is sold out until September).

    Hello, again!

Trying to get back into some things after being gone a while. The past almost-year has been pretty tough. My mom fell and broke her hip last May and had hip replacement surgery. After she got out of rehab, we brought her here to live with us for a while. She just left last week to move up to...

    Barn idea

This is (obviously) a horse barn, but it's similar (but fancier) to what I want to do for my (eventual) rabbit barn. http://www.mulligansrun.com/ourbarn.php

    Merry Christmas, y'al!

"For there is born to you this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord." - Luke 2:11 (NKJV) A very Merry Christmas and a blessed, happy New Year to all of my Rabbit Talk family!

I need to take a break

I love this forum. I really do. The problem is, I love it too much! I'm spending more time here than I can really afford, checking several times per day for new messages. As a result, I need to step away for a while, to "break the addiction", so to speak, and concentrate on some IRL things...

How to get rid of wasps?

We have three active mud-dauber wasp nests in our rabbit shed, behind the cages. Thankfully, they haven't bothered us or the bunnies, but I don't want to take the chance, and would really like to get rid of them. What can we do without risking our rabbits? The shed is made of wooden...

    STILL?!?!?!

Today I got yet ANOTHER phone call from a 4-H mom on the opposite end of Texas, asking if I had any rabbits available. I moved 650 miles away, TWO years ago. I felt sorry for her. I know how hard it is to find enough rabbits for everyone, and if I still lived there and had rabbits, she would...

No these scars on my arms aren't a cry for help, I just have rabbits https://www.facebook.com/pages/No-these ... 1606242798 Someone else posted about this page here, which is how I found it. Today, this message was on the page's status:

    Breeding in heat?

Our afternoon highs have been in the low to mid 90s and our overnight lows have been in the low to mid 70s. It'll be another month before our high temps get down below 85. Is it worth it to even try to breed right now (maybe in the morning when it's cooler), or would I just be wasting my time...

    The rabbit is hot?

The original image is from failblog.org, but I don't know how to go about finding a link to it there. Hopefully y'all can see this without a Facebook account.

Glad my rabbits don't eat like that!

So my kids found this new (free) game for smartphone (Android, anyway) called Hamster Life. Seems as though that hamster is ALWAYS eating! Good thing the food is free! I'm glad our rabbits don't eat like that. If they did, they would look like small pigs! LOL!

How to stretch a chicken (rabbit)

Haven't read this book yet, but it's free today on Amazon (for Kindle). Thought it might be useful for rabbits as well as chickens. http://www.amazon.com/How-Stretch-Chick ... B00AB9RT86 If you don't have a Kindle device, you can get a free Kindle reader for your computer or Android/iThing...

    New computer monitor!

I've been needing a new computer monitor for a while. I've been using a 6yo 15" CRT that has been getting progressively darker, no matter how much I adjust the brightness and contrast. I knew it was just a matter of time before it got too dark to see. I had been pricing out new monitors, but...
