    Question about falloffs

Well, I got lucky. The doe that had a single falloff and had nine last time, had 8 this time with a single falloff. The other doe that had a single falloff last time and had 5 had 3 this time. So, out of 4 single falloffs for 2 does, all 4 were successful.

Cool. Yeah, it's a really pretty area. I moved hear 7 years ago. I spent most of my life living a little North of Conneaut Lake, in Crawford County. Lost my wife and my kids are grown, so I moved down here in to the woods. My house was too big for just me, so I moved to this little cabin in the...

    Question about falloffs

Yeah, I'm waiting it out. Both females had one falloff. Last pregnancy, one doe has 3 falloffs and had 5 kits, the other had one falloff and had 9 kits. All three are pretty new to the game. One productive pregnancy for each of the Silver Fox does and first couple times for the buck. My New...

I have a New Zealand buck, A NZ doe and a California doe. They are all getting older. I recently bought a Silver Fox breeding trio. All SF are first time breeders. The kits I lost were all SF. I'm actually glad the problem was a predator vs. the moms eating them, because for 1st timers, they...

    Question about falloffs

I hate having just one falloff. If I had 1 falloff and none the next day, is it okay to attempt a 2nd or 3rd falloff the third or 4th day? Or do I need to just count the first one as a take and plan accordingly?

One had 9 kits and the other had 5. They both appeared to be excellent mothers. I noticed one kit laying dead in the...
