About how far from Harrisburg are you Kelly? If I can't find a pedigreed breeder of Champagne d'Argent I think I'm going to be going with Silver Fox.

    Watering system

It isn't a pump, it is just a valve. It needs to be plumbed to something with pressure like a well pump or city water. It is designed to not break in the winter.

    Mulching manure

Probably a good idea to do it that way. You can keep the worms at a constant temp that way.

    Mulching manure

I've been thinking about the poo situation myself. I think I'm going to try and design a continuous worm casting production bin directly under my rabbit cages. I'm not sure if the bins themselves will handle the urine or if that will have to be managed in another way.

    Pond liner for colony floor?

I put linoleum flooring in my chicken coop and it made cleaning so easy. I'm thinking about adding FRP wall pannels like they have in bathrooms some times for the rabbit shed walls as well. PLAS-TEX 1/16 in. x 48 in. x 96 in. White Polywall Plastic Panel 10048615

Crossbreeding for hybrid vigor while maintaining good temperment

That's the plan. When I start my breeding program, I will be breeding for temperment as the primary trait with size coming second because I want my daughters to enjoy working with the rabbits with me.

Crossbreeding for hybrid vigor while maintaining good temperment

I've read several experiences where people cross bred new zealands and saw faster growth rates. Improving growth rates is nice but temperment is also important to me. I was wondering if anyone has had any experience with crossbreeding champagne d'argent, silver fox, and/or american chinchilla...

    New member from Central PA

I recently got interested in breeding multi-use rabbits. I've narrowed it down to champagne d'argent, silver fox, or american chinchilla rabbits. I want to go with one of these breeds because I've heard good things about their temperments and my daughters will be helping to raise them. I'm...
