    Bone Marrow?

My favorite part of chicken is the marrow. Whenever my partner orders wings they always give me the bones to crack open and eat. I also obviously love pork and cow marrow, though i have found that duck marrow tastes like wet dog. Have any of yall ever cracked open the bones of a cooked rabbit...

    As much fat as possible

Im not really interested in debating which religion if any is right or wrong, nor am I interested in proselytizing or being proselytized to. I was just pointing out that its nice that connection to growing things can bring folks together in religious joy, even if the religions are different...

    As much fat as possible

Using religion to connect to the earth is a wonderful thing, isnt it? The christian god and I do not get along, I find the morals of organized christianity to be... disagreeable, shall we say, though I understand people find comfort in it and I'm glad it works for them. Personally I worship the...

Dandelion- More Nutritious than Some Vegetables

Oh, i love dandelion tea! I prefer the flowers roasted at 200 degrees f until they are very lightly browned and crumbly, that way they have an almost caramelized flavor and they are fully dry. Playing with the pelts

Pickling is a part of the tanning process. I pickle in a regular salt bath for a while even though I do brain/egg/smoke tanning because it helps sort of fluff the skins fibers and makes detail fleshing easier. Some people pickle in an alum salt bath which is part of a different tanning process...

    Playing with the pelts

I know that generally salting hides to dry them out and simply rehydrating them before a pickle or other true tanning method is acceptable, and I dont see why air drying them and rehydrating them would be any different, but i have no experience air drying pelts myself.

Need advice: My buck pulled fur & made a nest

That is fascinating! I wonder if his male parts were functional as well? That is astronomically rare for mammals!

    Hello!

    Hello!

I do not yet have the funds for an adequate setup, but I am doing as much research about raising rabbits for meat and fur and manure as possible. I am absolutely fascinated by this stuff and am very excited for the ability to begin raising them myself. This site looks like an absolute wealth of...
