My doe gave birth 4 days ago and she made her nest at day 21.

My doe had her babies this morning! Last December she had 10 but they were all premature (28 days) and they all died. She went 31 days. Not sure how many yet!

Yes, they are fantastic meat rabbits but they do grow slower. Ours are around 15-17lbs. Meat is delicious and lots of it. Wonderful pets too!

We’ve been raising rabbits for meat for 7 years. Started with Californian and New Zealand’s and now Flemish Giants.

My doe was pregnant last December. On day 29 she gave birth and all 10 babies were premature, skin was transparent and you could see the organs, all 10 died. She is pregnant again and today is day 21. I just saw she’s pulling fur. Why is she birthing prematurely?
