Good point. Thanks for your help. Gearing myself up to do it.

    Too small to eat?

Thank you for that information. I have noticed that they are bigger than their dad was at this age by far (mom is the Dutch)

    Too small to eat?

I have too many rabbits right now, but they are not meat rabbits at all. They are Dutch mix and they are about 3# at 10 weeks. I have been looking for raw pet food people, but haven't heard from anyone from my Craigslist post. Would you still eat them for human consumption when they are so dinky?

Help please! Newly adopted doe is pregnant and nursing!

I recently had this situation. I didn't realize that my doe had gotten pregnant about a week after she kindled. So kits were 5 weeks when new litter was born, but I'm pretty sure she weaned them at 4 weeks. They are all fine now, both litters. But the day she gave birth I saw her lunge at a kit...

Oh no! How sad, that's close to me too. My rabbits do get a lot of outside time on the ground.

    Velveteen lop questions

I do prefer the look of the vlops a little bit, but also see how the plush lops are probably very appealing in general. I would rather not deal with peanuts, but space is a consideration...so hmm. I feel like I just need to get my hands on some in person to really know.

    Velveteen lop questions

Thanks for the input. I have seen the mini plush lop and they look very cute, but I haven't met any in person. I thought they were more known for being sort of overpriced, but if they truly are a friendly pet breed, then I'm potentially interested. I know they aren't recognized by ARBA, but vlop...

    Velveteen lop questions

I was looking for information about velveteen lops and found some old posts, but nothing recently about them. I am most interested in breeds that are very friendly. I only have enough space for one breed and want to make the right choice for my family. I would mostly be raising for pets...

    Florida Newbie

I'm not in Florida, so I can't speak from experience, but always hear about TAMUK rabbits being best for heat. Good luck!

Bumping because I will be doing my first dispatch pretty soon and I'm looking for all the info I can on it and how to make use of everything.

Need help in training rabbit to go to the bathroom in one corner

I have had the best luck with potty training by starting off with a small space and they figure out the litterbox in a few days and then they can get more freedom. I haven't been able to get them to be mistake-free in larger hutches.
