No Pellet Diet for 1 Month

As far as I know, those wouldn’t be a problem if they are eaten immediately. What you definitely don’t want to do is give them green feed that has been lying around for a few hourse. If that does happen of accident, you best bet is to dry it all thee way and then feed. Always remove green feed...

No Pellet Diet for 1 Month

Yea I mean an actual banana leaf of the palm lol. They surprisingly grow quite well here even though we get pretty strong frosts. They like a soggy ground though. Ours have only ever produced bananas once but they do make a great fwe’d.

No Pellet Diet for 1 Month

The birds tend to get the seeds before I do lol. They happen to be a bit of a nuisance but oh well. I usually just pick off some leaves or when we have lost of plants I’ll just cut of about a plant for a rabbit.

No Pellet Diet for 1 Month

We have a prickly pear factory so we grow them plenty. I use the spineless species but I’m not sure what exact species but my Dad says opuntia ficus morado. I used to feed them dried fruit but they don’t love those. It took took a while to get them used to eating the pads but now they eat them...

No Pellet Diet for 1 Month

Hey everyone! I’ve been feeding my breeding pair of off homegrown things only for the past months. So far the results are great! Both rabbits look good and healthy and they even seem to be a bit friendlier towards me but I don’t know if I can credit the green feed for that. Some of the things I...

    Cage Cards

Hey I thought I'd add mine in here too! I print, cut, laminate and then write the information on in permanent marker or sharpie. If I want to clean them to reuse(especcialy litter cards) I just use some nail polish remover and the permanent marker comes off like charm. Feel free to use them!

Linebreeding vs Genetic Diversity: What’s Your Breeding Program?

If you won’t be showing and don’t breed say sibling to sibling too often you should be fine honestly.

Does anyone have any "fun" meat rabbit projects going on?

Wait you bred a completely white doe with a silver and they produced Agoutis and Blacks? That’s rare?

I WANT TO START A COLONIE!

What I do is I keep a mother and a daughter in a 4x4 cage and whenever the one kitted, I move her into her own 4x4 cage on the lawn that gets moved everyday. This way she won’t dig over the lawn before kitting, and she will also have more space for all the kits(6-13)

When to remove the nest box?

I would take out the nest box at 2-3weeks but provide either a little house for shelter, or at least a small piece of carpet to they can sleep on there

    Hey from Namibia!

Meh somewhat. I used to sell to a Portuguese restaurant but that kinda stopped.

    Hi from South Africa

Hey! I also have phendulas. They are quite amazing regarding reproduction! My oldest doe (1.7) gave birth to 15 kits a few months ago! I'm in Namibia btw

    Hey from Namibia!

Hey! Thank you:) No, and yes lol. One of my mom's friends rents a place on our farm where she has a medium sized rabbitry (30 does 5 bucks). We occasionally exchange breeding stock and information. That certainly helps.
