I have heard that it is better to breed a doe to 2 males in the same day? Something to do the males competing? Is there any truth to this? Also, if there is, could a female have kits from 2 different males in the same litter? Sorry if this seems like a silly question. Just got me thinking.

Is there any magic wands to wave to do this? :explanation: I have some testy does that just run from a buck. I usually only get about one successful fall off per breeding. I like to stay out in the yard while mating is happening so I don’t come back to find a castrated buck.

We had one does deliver a confirmed 3 alive popples from what I can see in the box. Not sure how many are under and around her that I can’t see! We also have another doe that was haystashing this morning, so hopefully she has some by the time I go to work!! :pinkbunny:

I had a new to me buck mount a doe, both the head and back end, and seemed very eager, but this is where it gets weird. He did not fall off and on both her face and hind quarter there was, noticeable but not an excessive amount, of blood. Any ideas?! :all-ears:

Does anyone have experience feeding in a colony setting? How do you make sure that your rabbits are not getting fat? I fill the h feeder up, but if I have 5 rabbits in a tractor, how do I make sure one isn’t getting more than another?
