Colors?

Ok, so this means that the mother probably carries chinchilla gene or another recessive to it, right? The same for harlequin gene, since there is a magpie in the litter.

    Colors?

Hi, in your opinion what color are these two little babies? Father is chinchilla Vienna carrier, mother is broken blue. I know that father carries at least one ej gene, while I know nothing about the mother. These are the same bunnies, but under a different light. This other bunny has a...

    Is this color black magpie?

Hi all, as the subject says, I have a doubt about the color of this little bunny. Is she a black magpie? Or maybe a blue magpie? Just to be sure. If she is a blue magpie, I might keep her. I don't know if parents carry dilute.

    What is this color?

New photos! Sable Agouti seems likely. I think it is too brownish to be a black chinchilla, but maybe not enough brown to be a chocolate chinchilla.

    What is this color?

So cute! I'd love to have a chocolate based rabbit, it could be possible since I don't know if parents carry chocolate. I will post more photos in the next days. :)

    What is this color?

Hi all, I have a litter of five nice bunnies and I don't know the color of one of these. Father is black chinchilla, mother is black VM. Colors of the other kits are black, white (probably BEW) and magpie. So, this kit is agouti, I thought it was chestnut but it was not born black as the other...

    Kits color?

Thanks to all for your help! :)

    Kits color?

I thought blue tort too as the most likely color, but they were very clear at the birth, identical to the lilac tort of this page http://www.gbfarm.org/rabbit/holland-co ... aded.shtml . And also now, they are very similar to lilac tort. But the odds are against this supposition. Moreover, in...

    Kits color?

Hi all! In your opinion, what color are the first two kits from the left? It seems that the first is slightly lighter than the second. They are 10 days old. The father is blue, the mother is black VM, she carries dilute.

She ate her litter? *GRAPHIC IMAGES*

The kit was big and already with a little of fur, so the singleton theory it's likely too, and it is also likely that I was not able to recognize well the baby movements. Whatever was happened, I will rebreed the doe (she screamed during the buck falloff, is that normal? Never happened with my...

She ate her litter? *GRAPHIC IMAGES*

Thanks for the explanation :( is it likely that she ate the others of the litter after the over cleaning?

She ate her litter? *GRAPHIC IMAGES*

I have a doe, Holland Lop breed, 6 months old. It was her first birth, she did a nest with fur and everything, but she gave birth at the 34th day, that is today. I found a single kit and not in the box, but in the cage. I think that this bunny has a strange shape and, maybe, she started to eat...

    Blue? Lilac?

And the winner is blue! :) Thanks to both for your help.

    Blue? Lilac?

Hi all, in your opinion is the little bunny in the first photo blue, lilac or something else? I think blue, but I saw images of some blue rabbits that are a lot darker than him. Maybe only a different shade of blue? In the second photo, there is his grandfather, if it can help. Parents are both...

All the litter died and I don't know why - PHOTO

I'm sorry for your litters :( the kits had full bellies every day, so I'm almost sure that the doe feeded well them, but I agree that there are things that go wrong and we can't see them. I hope that the next time will be better!

-- Fri Jul 13, 2018 8:07 am --

I...

    Seal or something else?

Both father and mother were born in my rabbitry. None of their siblings were agouti, so I think it's strange that they or one of them could hide agouti gene, but your explanation makes perfectly sense. I'm repeating this mating, it is more interesting than I thought, the doe should deliver in a...

    Seal or something else?

Both father and mother are black Vienna Marked. I also noticed some stray white hair on both the parents, especially the mother, but I thought it was because of the Vienna gene. How to tell the difference between silver tipped steel and silvering?

    Seal or something else?

Hi, in a previous topic I posted some photos of two little bunnies to identify their color. The darker bunny is a black, the lighter should be a seal, but now I'm not so sure anymore. This is one of the photos: Now, other updated photos at one month of age, also a detail of the fur: Not all...

    What colors are these kits?

The two dark babies are almost surely a black and a seal. About the other, I have an update: I saw her eyes (yes, very probably a doe) and they are light, but they have a sort of pink shade. They are like...light purple? So, could be she a broken lilac tort instead? The mother carried chocolate...
