I grow them specifically for my rabbits in Ohio. I feed the smaller stems and leaves all summer. Dig about half in the fall to feed and dig the other half in the late winter early spring before they sprout. Works great that way for me!

I took a solid, plastic vegetable storage bin. On the outside of the cage I faced the largest opening towards the rabbit. The smaller opening faced upward and wired the bin to the cage. I wasn't sure how the rabbits could get all the hay; somehow they manage to get 90% of the hay out of the bin...

We cut rabbit off the bone, grind it up. Add about 20 saltine crackers, one egg, and one t. lemon pepper. fry in a little butter, MMMMmmmm
