Just wondering how to keep our water bottles from turning green in the hot summer weather. I've been washing them when I notice the discoloration, but it's so tedious. :?

:angry: Came home to find someone had opened all of our rabbit hutch doors. Thank goodness we found all of the buns! None of the neighbor kids would admit to it, but I have my suspicions. Now we have locks on all the doors.

Our first litter is eight weeks old now. We weighed them today and the average was 3lb 8oz. Is that small for Californians :? ? The way they've been going through the feed, I'm hoping to get them in the freezer pretty soon. Also wondering if we should cut out the greens and hay?

One week old! I guess all the fussing and worry was for nothing, because we seem to have five healthy buns. Thanks to everyone for the advice. The doe is still downright nasty, she charges at us when we go to feed her and she tries to bite, but she seems to be mothering well for a first timer.

Is there a best time to put nest boxes in with the doe? We have a doe due to kindle on 2/7. This will be her second litter. The first didn't make it, so I'm wondering if we should bring her into the basement where it's warmer, or should we leave her outside? We have a tarp over the cages, and...

Ok, I'm a little confused. This being our first live litter, I'm hearing conflicting things. Some people say "sure you can take them and count them and make sure their ok" and others are saying "don't touch them or the doe will not take care of them." :? Anyway this being day two, I thought...

Oh my! I think I'll try the cotton balls, because this doe is pretty nasty. I can't imagine trying to pull her fur. She won't even let us touch her without growling and trying to bite. Is that typical of Californian does? Our buck is as sweet as can be, but these does are just plain mean.
