    Well, that's a new one!

In my ten years of breeding rabbits, I have never produced this color before! Fox/tort otter I'm thinking? She's out of a tort x tri breeding. Sire is the tort out of torts. Dam is the tri out tris. Her name is Squirrelette :D https://www.facebook.com/cedarpointrabb ... =3&theater...

What Are Your Favorite Links for Tri/Harlequin Genetics?

I want to compile a list of good sites explaining tri/harlequin genetics :) So, what are your favorite sites? It doesn't have to be only about Holland Lops, can be other breeds as well, but need to be about tri/harli color genetics. Thanks in advance!

    Developing a Breeding Program

Totally agree with all of this. It's HUGE to sell older does that were your top girls, but now their daughters are better then them and outshine them...no matter how special they were :) When I finally started doing that, my rabbitry drastically improved. It was amazing! skysthelimit hit it...

Grrr...which Holland Lop sister to keep!

Thanks everyone! Getting more opinions always opens my eyes to things I don't see cause I look at them everyday :)

Grrr...which Holland Lop sister to keep!

To be honest, I want to keep both. They're full sisters from the same litter. BUT, as with all small rabbitries, cage space is precious. So, what doe do you like better? My thoughts on them: Black doe - super small, type girl. Dwarf. Nice hindquarter. Nice ears, short, well rounded. Head is...

To all Rabbits breeders Show and Meat

I don't feed medicated feed either, haven't for years. I rarely get sick buns :) I cull anyone who gets sick. Agree with SPFAngoras about the crutch for weak immune systems.

    2017 Goals: what are yours?

Oops! 1 tsp salt for every 1L jar of meat :)

    2017 Goals: what are yours?

We can chicken! It. Is. The. Best. Ever. The prep is simply: stick the meat & meat on the bone in a clean jar. Add a 1 tsp for a 1L jar. Put a lid on. Pressure can. Bone-in meat is important, you get more flavour :)

Junior Holland Lop Doe - Brood w/ show potential

Broken Black Tort Holland Lop Doe. Very solid, full in the hindquarter/loin. Nice bone and mass. Nice crown. Good topline. Very smooth and full to the touch. Fault her for long ears and lack of width in face. Bit slouched in the second picture so bone/shoulder/ears aren't shown very nicely...

RabbitTalk Handicrafts Thread. What do YOU make?

Nymphadora - those are some amazing sewing skills! Absolutely beautiful :) My handicrafts would be making goats milk soap, salves, lip balms, etc. Also photography. Not sure if gardening counts? :) Probably some others, just can't think of them now :D

What colors are these? New pictures!

Thanks! :D I've found out that the litter of 4 has: Broken Black (obviously :)) Tri, Fawn Harlequin (which is sadly a buck :() and a Blue. The other litter is all black torts of varying degrees.

What colors are these? New pictures!

For picture #1: The doe's sire is a Harlequin, out of a Tri Color, out of a BEW. She also has torts and blacks as well. The kits sire is pretty much all torts until the 3gen. Picture #2: The Broken Black Tort is the Tri (spots are hidden in this picture). That light kit beside the broken black...
