Ear flopped over

I noticed one of my 5 week old NZ bunnies suddenly has one ear that went limp. There might be a slight tilt to its head but not very noticeable. I assume it might be wry neck. Any ideas?

    1st time processing

I am going to process my first batch of rabbits this weekend and have a couple questions about it. Can I put them in freezer bags and put them in the freezer immediately after cleaning them, or do I need to soak them in salt water for a period of time first? (if so, how much salt and how long...

I bought a doe about a month ago. She was breathing faster than my other does but she looked overweight so I thought that was why. 2 and a half weeks ago she had 10 babies and is raising them all. She still breathes fast and I noticed she has a small scab right between her nostrils. It is...

    Only one baby

My doe started pulling fur and making a nest at 5:00am on day 32. At 8:00am we checked on her and there was one baby on wire outside the cage, dead. Couldn't see any movement in the nest box so we left her alone thinking she would have the others in the box. I got home at 5:00 pm and checked...

My first rabbits and their cages

Thanks, The hanging cages are to keep the wire off the wood frames. Much more sanitary as this prevents urine and manure from causing problems for them.

-- Thu Feb 26, 2015 4:30 pm --

This is my first one and I will improve on the next one. I would love to see pics...

    Red Urine

Just got our first rabbits and noticed the urine from one is red like blood. I did a quick goole search and it seems that this might not be anything to worry about. I've never heard of this before, but I am fairly new to rabbits. Should I be worried?

    First rabbit is a Biter!

We got our first rabbits today. Two New Zealand White does and a NZ buck. One of the does lunges at my hand and tries to bite whenever I try to stick my hand in her cage to pet her. The others are gentle and let us pet them no problem. Is this biting behavior normal for NZ's? Will she...
