Losing the desire to keep going with rabbits

At 4lbs live weight I would still eat them, just takes a little bit more to make a meal. Try lasagna style gardening, that way you don't need a tiller. Poop from your rabbitry will help with this for sure!

Do Rex rabbits survive cold winters?

I live in NorthEastern Washington now, right on the border. My Rex have no issue with cold.

    15+ kits milk prod.

Mother's milk tea helps rabbits just like it does for humans. And plenty of water and food available at all times to help support that milk production.

Who to breed with who. Which rabbit is the best.

How old are your rabbits? I would probably breed Sheep to Lady and keep the best of the litter in body structure regardless of sex. You could breed in rounds if you have the space; breed all your does to Sheep the first round, compare the growth rate and type of each litter-then compare the best...

    Which Software?

I use Everbreed but it is glitchy sometimes. They do update it to fix any glitches regularly. It gets the basics done, has breeding predictions but unless you know then genotype it may not help much. Love the task feature and the ledger is easy to use, it also gives data in bar graphs and pie...

    Buck suddenly aggressive?!

I would probably keep a buck kit as a secondary buck for breeding to that doe if the situation doesn't resolve itself. I know how hard it can be when a beloved buck is acting out and not doing his job.

    Litter Color Predictions

    Growing Herbs for Rabbits

Do you know what gardening zone you are in? Most of the above mentioned plants can be started from seed and now is a good time to start gathering seed starting supplies if that is what you want to do.

Best way to breed larger to smaller?

I know it is possible to breed rabbits of different sizes together and not have any problems, but what would you do if your buck is the larger breed and the doe the smaller of the two? I can either breed my Jr rex/californian/new zealand mix buck to my mini rex does directly and hope it goes...

    Color identification?

Would you consider this buck a black or blue magpie? His mother was a Californian and his father was a tricolored rex/nz cross. All these pictures are of him at various stages. His siblings from the same litter were magpie charlie, a broken tan/pale orange color kit, broken tort, tort, and...

6 week 2 day old kit weights

I am hoping they hit a great growth spurt between now and their 12 week weigh out. My dh wants me to try to sell these 4 instead of eating them because they were born on a holiday and as our first kits that have done well out of this trio we got. That being said...they are cute and sweet and I...

How do I get this genetically?

I don't own him but I am interested in getting him because of his coat pattern, his first litter (with a nzw doe) is a couple days old now and the lady said she would post pictures of the kits on her facebook :D She doesn't know if she is really getting out of rabbits or not but he is just so...

How do I get this genetically?

Does anyone know what I would have to breed to get coloration like this? This buck is New Zealand/Harlequin/? cross and I love his coat! If I could somehow get this consistently I would love to breed a line of rabbits from him. What do I breed to to get this though?
